SOFTIMAGE|XSI v.5.1 Released

Introducing SOFTIMAGE|XSI v.5.1 - the character production software. Featuring completely non-destructive workflow, XSI makes life easier by enabling changes on rigged & animated characters.

Designed to fit easily into today's mixed-tool pipelines, and now featuring enhanced support to import and export Autodesk® 3ds Max® & Maya® assets, XSI includes advanced real-time effects baking, and tools to easily transfer any surface properties between characters, regardless of complexity or topology.

A comprehensive C++ SDK, a variety of industry-standard scripting languages, and support for over 50 2D and 3D file formats, make XSI is the heart of any character production pipeline.

Upgrading to XSI v.5.1 is free for licensed XSI v.5.0 users. XSI v.5.1 will be made available at the end of March.
